Former DOC Employee Arrested In Connection To Child Pornography Investigation, According To Authorities

A Pauls Valley man has been arrested in connection to a child pornography investigation, according to authorities.

According to a joint statement from the Garvin County Sheriff's Office, a cyber tip led investigators to 23 child sexual assault videos.

Investigators say they identified the user as 27-year-old Benny Weldon. Authorities say Weldon is facing several charges, including the distribution of child pornography.

The Department of Corrections issued a statement about Weldon who is a former employee. The statement said:

"The separation process of Benny Weldon began as soon as ODOC was made aware of the crimes he allegedly committed. The agency does not tolerate bad actors and appreciates the due diligence of our fellow law enforcement partners to make Oklahoma safer."
