Victim Identified, 1 Arrested In Sunday SW OKC Shooting

The victim in a deadly southwest Oklahoma City shooting on Sunday night has been identified, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police say that officers responded to a reported shooting near South Harvey Avenue and Southwest 21st Street Sunday around 8:25 p.m.

Police say that 45-year-old Justin Ruth was transported to a local hospital from the scene, where he later passed due to his injuries.

Police confirmed that Ruth and suspect Dustyn Malone were involved in some altercation and Ruth was shot. Malone fled the scene but was later arrested on Monday and booked into jail on a first-degree murder complaint.
