Court filings reveal new details about the moments leading to a deadly crash in Norman.

A man was charged with manslaughter, accused of ramming into a family's SUV. Lindsay Badger was killed in the crash and her family was badly injured.

"In an instant, our lives changed. someone's recklessness took away a part of our life,” said Denise Badger, Lindsay’s mother-in-law.

When Bradyn Brown hit the Badger family’s vehicle, reports show it was the third vehicle he hit in 10 minutes.

Brown’s path of destruction began Sunday afternoon in Moore, near Interstate 35 Service Road and Southeast 19th Street where Brown rear-ended a pickup.

Then while fleeing the scene, troopers say Brown struck a second vehicle and then hit a third leaving a trail of chaos.

Dispatch: This vehicle which is 89 has struck multiple vehicles, there's rollovers, and crashes, throughout Norman.

The Badger family was in their SUV that was entering the intersection at 60th NW and Rock Creek when Brown hit them.

Dispatcher: Possible accident with injury, two-vehicle rollover.

“He wrecked our world when he wrecked into them," said Badger.

Denise Badger's son, Josh, her daughter-in-law Lindsay, and her two grandchildren, ages 10 and 13 were all badly injured.

Lindsay died at the scene.

Josh was taken off a ventilator Tuesday and continues to recover. Their children remain hospitalized. "You never know when something like this could actually happen, you know to your own family," said Badger.

After crashing into the family's vehicle--Brown fled--and was later arrested at a Love's Travel Stop. He told police he was speeding from witnesses from the two initial crashes.

He said he failed to yield at a stop sign because "he was traveling too fast."

He collided with the Badger family's SUV, telling investigators he never stopped because he had fentanyl in his car "and did not want to be caught with it." "He needs to be held accountable to the maximum degree," said Badger.

Court filings show Brown showed little emotion when he learned his driving resulted in a person's death.

According to court records, Brown was due in court Wednesday in an unrelated case where he's charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
