Police made a gruesome discovery on Friday inside a southwest Oklahoma City home. Two bodies were found and police said one of the deaths was considered suspicious.

Police said the call to the home near Southwest 25th and Miller Avenue initially went out as an assault with a deadly weapon. When officers went inside, they found two people dead. Police said one of the bodies was badly decomposed.

Officers were led to a home just after midnight Friday. Police did not indicate who called for help or if the men found dead lived at the home.

“One of whom appears turned the gun on himself and killed himself. The other we will have to wait and see what the ME has to say about him,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “Apparently, he had been there for some time and there had been some decomposing.”

The medical examiner will determine how the man died and how long he has been dead. Police have not released any names.

The department plans to release more information about the investigation next week.

Police ask the public to call the homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200 if they have any information about the deaths.
