The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking for the public's input as they plan to add more electric vehicle chargers across the state.
ODOT has been awarded $66 million to add one charger every 50 miles on popular Oklahoma corridors. Each station must have at least 4 chargers and must be open 24 hours.
"Charging stations aren't quite as common as ... a gas station, so we wanna make sure those Oklahomans who are driving EV's or even just passing through, don't have to have that range of anxiety," said Bryce Boyer, ODOT Public Information Manager.
You can give your input until August 19 by going to OK.gov/ev or emailing evok@odot.org.
