Preventing Heat-Related Illnesses As Children Head Back To School

Temperatures are rising again, and with some kids back in school this week, the State Health Department wants to remind everyone about the dangers of heat-related illnesses.

They recommend limiting time outside and dressing properly in light, cool clothing.

Signs of heat stroke can include dizziness or the inability to sweat.

Heat stroke can be deadly. In those cases, call 911 immediately.
