The The Dale Rogers Training Center, an Oklahoma City nonprofit working for the past 70 years to find employment opportunities for disabled Oklahomans, is looking for more people to help.
The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch travelled to the nonprofit's facility in northwestern Oklahoma City to see what they offer.
Deborah Copeland, the executive director of the nonprofit, said her organization tries to lead the community into making the workforce more disability-inclusive.
"Annually we train, serve and employ right around 900 folks," Copeland said. "People with disabilities, across all of our programs, earn more than $6 million."
Copeland also encouraged others to learn more about the DRTC and the opportunities they offer.
"Go to DRTC.org, and you'll find all of our employment opportunities," Copeland said. "There's just a broad range. We do a lot of different programs, only about 20% of what we do is here at the agency. 80% is right where it needs to be, out in the community."
