Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma Share Cookies & Cocktails Event On The Porch

Cookie season is not quite over for the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma. They are hosting a unique event that brings together the world of cookies and cocktails.

Emma Tucker, co-chair of the event, and Zach, a vendor from American Solera Brewery, joined News 9 on the Arca Continental Southwest Beverages Porch to share more.

Tucker said they partner with local restaurants who come in and create an exciting and diverse range of Girl Scout Cookie inspired treats and beverages.

"They can be savory or sweet or cocktails or a mix of both, which is really fun," Tucker said.

Zach said they were inspired by the Lemon Up cookies and made a lemon shortbread beer.

"We were so excited to put together a little traditional German-style Kolsch beer," Zach said. "It just tastes like sunshine."

The event is Friday, Aug. 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

VIP ticket holders can get in an hour early for extra tasting and a free gift.

VIP and general admission tickets can be purchased, and proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts.
