The man who called in a threat to Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman on Wednesday has been identified, according to the Cleveland County Sherriff’s Office.
Authorities say that 43-year-old Jeremy Alexander had made threats against staff members at the facility.
Around 2:30 p.m., CCSO received a call regarding “a threat of violence” at Red Rock Behavioral Health Services, according to a release.
The release stated that the sheriff’s office, South Metro SWAT, and other local law enforcement agencies responded to the scene.
Authorities say that the caller’s number was obtained and used to find Alexander’s location.
The release also noted that Alexander was taken into custody in Oklahoma City, and transported to the Cleveland County Detention Center.
According to the release, neither CCSO nor the Norman Police Department found any threat. After a sweep of the hospital, SWAT also did not find a threat.
