The Democratic presidential ticket continued its swing through battleground states Thursday, holding a rally in Michigan before heading to Arizona. This comes as former President Donald Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago and announced he has agreed to three presidential debates.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz rallied with auto workers in Detroit Thursday afternoon.

"Look, even if you're not a member of a union, you better thank unions," Harris said to the union audience. "That five-day workweek, you better thank unions for that eight-hour workday. You better thank unions for that vacation time. So, I'm here to say, 'thank you.'"

The United Auto Workers have endorsed Harris and plan to deploy union members across Michigan to help her win the state.

"Now it's our turn," said UAW President Shawn Fain, "to stand up, to speak up and show up for them."

Harris has picked up momentum since securing the nomination and naming Governor Walz as her choice for vice president, drawing thousands to hear her speak during the start of the campaign swing.

"Are you worried at all about the size of Harris's crowds?" a reporter asked President Trump at his news conference.

"Oh, give me a break," dismissed the former president.

Trump says Vice President Harris 'stole' the nomination from President Biden but says he's happy to be facing her instead.

"I haven't recalibrated strategy at all," Trump told reporters. "It's the same policies: open borders, weak on crime. I think she's worse than Biden."

Trump says he has agreed to go up against Harris in three debates, all in September.

"The other side has to agree to the terms," Trump added. "They may or may not agree, I don't know if they're going to agree. She hasn't done an interview, she can't do an interview, she's barely competent."

Trump also said the campaign has agreed to have his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, face off against Governor Walz in a vice presidential debate on CBS.
