The suspect in the assault at an Owasso restaurant was arrested by Cherokee Nation Marshals on Friday near Fort Gibson, according to police.

Police say Nicholas Palmore is a former employee of Captain D’s. Owasso Police say Palmore hit a current employee in the head with a baseball bat Thursday afternoon, then took off.

The woman was taken to the hospital after the attack. Palmore immediately fled the scene on Thursday in a 2017 Chevy Equinox and was arrested without incident at a home in Fort Gibson.

A probable cause affidavit says the victim asked Palmore to turn down his music, and that's when he went and got the bat and beat her.

Owasso Police say the Cherokee Nation Marshals helped make the arrest by positively identifying Palmore's vehicle using a drone.
