One person was arrested in an officer-involved shooting that left two people injured in Bryan County, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

One person was arrested in an officer-involved shooting that left two people injured in Bryan County, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

OBSI said that the Bryan County Sheriff's Office requested their help to assist with an officer-involved shooting on August 11, 2024.

OSBI said that at around 10:00 p.m., Bryan County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call near Highway 78 and Camino Drive near Hendrix.

During an investigation, OSBI special agents learned that 48-year-old Wesley Buford rushed toward deputies while possessing a firearm, leading to an officer-involved shooting.

OSBI said Buford and one deputy were injured during the altercation and transported to a local hospital. Both were treated and released.

Buford was arrested and booked into the Collin County Jail in Texas on charges of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant.

He will eventually be transferred and booked into the Bryan County Jail.
