OKC Thunder Schedule For Emirates NBA Cup 2024 Released

The in-season tournament is back this year and the Thunder are looking to take home the trophy.

The NBA released the Group Play schedule for the newly-named Emirates NBA Cup on Tuesday and play begins Nov. 15 for the Thunder.

The full NBA schedule will be released on Thursday, Aug. 15.

How Does The Emirates NBA Cup 2024 Work?

The Emirate NBA Cup 2024 is the second annual in-season tournament/competition for the Association, with the Lakers taking home the inaugural trophy last season.

It tips off on Tuesday, Nov. 12 with Group Play, where all 30 teams are split into groups and play each other. Each team plays two home games and two road games in the Group Play stage.

The winner of each group and two wild card teams advance to the Knockout Rounds. The NBA says the wild cards will be the team from each conference with the best record in Group Play games that finished second in its group.

The Knockout Rounds will be single-elimination with the first rounds being at home for the higher seeded teams. The semifinals and finals will be in Las Vegas on Dec. 14 and Dec. 17. The winner claims the NBA Cup championship trophy.

All the games across both stages of the Emirates NBA Cup will count toward regular season standings except the championship, the NBA says.
