Local Author Introduces The Porch To Latest Thriller Novel

Throwing in thriller and mystery with Persian culture, a new book series is in the process of being released from a local author.

Pooneh Sadeghi who wrote Rumi & The Retribution joined News 9 on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to discuss.

Sadeghi said that her motivation for the series stems from a lifelong passion for writing and a desire to weave in meaningful life experiences and her extensive travels and Persian heritage play a significant role in shaping the narrative, reflecting both her personal journey and academic background in Comparative Literature.

The book follows a former Navy SEAL-turned-successful author whose life takes a dark turn when his twin brother goes missing, and he becomes the prime suspect in a murder.

"He decides to defy authorities and go find out what's going on and find his brother," Sadeghi said. "There's a lot of discovery and there's a lot about the Persian culture."

The book is available at all major bookstores and online platforms including Amazon and Google Play.

Sadeghi revealed that the series will continue with a second book set in Germany, slated for release in April 2025 and a third book due in December of 2025.

She's also currently working on the fourth installment, promising more thrilling adventures to come.
