The agency said the purpose of the flight was a sightseeing tour of the Oklahoma City area, but during takeoff, the airplane departed the runway, with its left wing impacting a haybale before continuing to travel across a large field near the runway.

After crashing through a chain-link fence, the NTSB said the plane wrecked into a group of trees, where an explosion occurred.

The agency said the wreck of the airplane was recovered from the accident site and was transported to a secure location for a future examination.

In the days following the crash, News 9 learned the names of those who were aboard the plane when it crashed.
