Scott Mitchell Discusses Walters Impeachment Talk, Possible OSDE Investigations

State Superintendent Ryan Walters called on lawmakers to begin an impeachment trial against him, the day after the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency announced an investigation into OSDE's handling of funds meant for Oklahoma schools.

Walters accuses leaders in the state House of attacking OSDE with baseless lies.

“If you have any evidence for these lies, provide them over to Senate leadership,” State Supt. Ryan Walters said during Friday's press conference. “I am calling on Speaker McCall and Mark McBride to begin their impeachment proceedings Monday.”
