Man Killed In SW Oklahoma City Shooting Identified

A person who was killed in a shooting Saturday night in Oklahoma City has been identified, police say.

Oklahoma City Police said 9:15 p.m. officers responded to a shooting call at around at an apartment complex near Southwest 74th Street and South May Avenue.

After arriving on scene, OCPD said officers found one person who had been shot.

That person, later identified as 31-year-old Emmanuel Williams, was transported to a hospital where he later died.

OCPD said there was some type of disturbance before the shooting that escalated to gunfire, leading to Williams being shot.

Several witnesses were detained at the scene, but OCPD said the investigation is still in its early stages and no arrests have been made.
