BAPD Arrest 2 Men Accused Of Breaking Into Cars

Broken Arrow police responded to reports of car break-ins on East Fargo Street just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 22. Following a brief search, officers apprehended two suspects who attempted to flee.

Broken Arrow police responded to reports of car break-ins on East Fargo Street just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 22. Following a brief search, officers apprehended two suspects who attempted to flee.

Police identified the suspects as 18-year-old Christopher Venegas and 20-year-old Tyler McCracken.

Venegas was found hiding under an SUV, while McCracken was located in a nearby field with assistance from a BAPD unit and the Tulsa Police Department’s helicopter.

The investigation revealed that both men had entered or attempted to enter multiple vehicles in the neighborhood.

Venegas and McCracken were arrested on three counts of third-degree burglary to an automobile.
