The Tulsa SPCA says it's in serious need of donations after taking in 34 new dogs. They say this is its third large-scale rescue in just two months.
Tulsa SPCA says they were contacted by a case worker assisting a client who was doing her best to take care of over 30 dogs left behind when her brother died. They say she was overwhelmed and the situation was taking a toll on her health and finances.
After reaching out to multiple resources the woman was connected with the Tulsa SPCA.
When SPCA arrived, they learned the dogs had not eaten in five days.
The dogs taken in ranged from newborn to senior.
Some dogs had skin conditions, severe flea infestations, internal parasites, heart murmurs, and heartworm disease.
