Osage County deputies arrest the Avant Volunteer Fire Chief, who is accused of harassing his ex-girlfriend and her family for months. The victim and her parents have all filed protective orders against him.
An affidavit says Kyle Swift texted the woman a fake search warrant and posed as a state employee to try to get her fired from her job.
The ex-girlfriend’s protective order against Swift says he set her pasture on fire in April and hacked her television and social media accounts. It says Swift sends approximately 20 texts a week from unknown numbers.
The affidavit says Swift threatened to send private pictures of the woman to her job and family. The victim told Osage County deputies that Swift threatened to get her fired from her job and he acted like a DHS worker, calling her job several times and sending emails to get her fired.
The victim told investigators Swift repeatedly drives by her and her parent’s houses. The affidavit says Swift sent the victim a picture of a fake search warrant, asking the victim to unblock him.
It says Swift sent pictures of computers plugged into motherboards to make her think data was being taken.
Swift is the chief of the Avant Fire Department, which is fully volunteer. He also works as an EMT for Bartlesville Ambulance.
Records show Swift pleaded guilty in 2016 to posing as an OSBI agent and using similar tactics to reach his ex-girlfriend at that time. That charge was dropped to a misdemeanor and he received one year probation and was ordered to get mental health treatment.
At the time, Swift said that the incident was a joke.
The Mayor of Avant says Swift is suspended and an interim chief is in place. Bartlesville Ambulance says it is waiting to see the legal process unfold.
