Police: Claremore Woman Shoots, Kills Boyfriend

A woman who was arrested after a fatal shooting Sunday morning in Claremore has been identified, police say.

Claremore Police said Crystal Stanfield called a family member after shooting and killing her boyfriend, Kevin Theard, at a home near Dupont Street and Moore Avenue.

Police said that family member then reported the shooting to police.

The police report said after arriving on scene, officers found Theard in a bedroom inside the home with a gunshot wound under his chin.

Stanfield has been booked in the Rogers County Jail, where the Rogers County District Attorney said they will determine the charges to be filed.

Claremore Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
