It may be the last day of the Big Dam Party, but folks at the Gathering Place are ending their Labor Day weekend on a high note.

As some made their way across the new Williams Crossing Pedestrian Bridge, visitors like Sheri Curry paused to take in the views of Zink Lake.

“(The) view is spectacular, yes, both upstream and downstream,” Sheri said.

She says it is hard not to enjoy it.

“You know, if you’re not here on the bridge, with the breeze today, you’re missing something,” Sheri said.

Down below, folks in the water are floating the day away, while others like 9-year-old Noelle are near the Great Lawn snapping pictures by the World’s Largest Rubber Duck.

“It’s giant,” she said.

The Big Dam Party attracted visitors and duck fans from both near and far.

“I told him about it and he was excited to see the duck,” said Paul Watson. “I totally love the space here,” said Thomas Haeger.

Haeger is visiting Tulsa from Germany and says the sight is unlike anything he’s ever seen.

“Germany, we just have little ducks, I have one in my bathroom,” he said.

And the Big Dam Party is unlike anything he’s ever experienced

“Totally love it,” he said.

Proving that the Big Dam Party is all about celebrating what makes Tulsa special.

“It's kind of hard to believe that this area particularly is in Tulsa, I think the Gathering Place is one of the coolest things about Tulsa and the fact that we have our own little kayaking, tubing thing and this whole bridge, it's just really cool,” said Wyatt Horten.
