Roughers Edge Out Bentonville West In Thriller, 50-49

Down south Muskogee hosted Bentonville West at Rougher Village.

The Roughers barely scraped by with a win last week to give them a 2-0 record heading into this one.

Bentonville West has had a tough go but don't count them out.

Second quarter, all knotted up at 14. Byrd hands it off to PJ Wallace and he bullies his way in for the two-yard touchdown as the Roughers take the lead.

Next possession, Byrd finds Gervon Washington on the outside. He breaks several tackles and makes a few miss. 83 yards to the house.

The final, 50-49, and the Roughers move on to 3-0 on the season and have a bye week next week to prep for district coming up with Ponca City on Sept. 27.
