'Proud Of Our Guys:' Sooners Stay Perfect With A 34-19 Win Over Tulane

The 15th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners moved to 3-0 on the season after beating Tulane 34-19 in Norman on Saturday. It's OU's 48th straight win over an unranked non-conference opponent. Oklahoma has won 16 straight non-conference home games, 23 of its last 24, 43 of its last 45 and 60 of its last 63. OU is 7-0 in non-conference home games under head coach Brent Venables.

Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold completed 18 of 29 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown (one interception) and rushed 14 times for a game- and career-high 97 yards and two TDs. He now has two rushing TDs this season and three in his career.

One game after Tulane racked up 491 total yards of offense against Kansas State, OU held the Green Wave to 279 total yards (4.2 per play). The OU defense held Tulane to 116 yards and 3.7 yards per play in the second half, when it registered all seven of its tackles for loss and its three sacks.

Oklahoma had two takeaways in the game (one interception and one fumble recovery) and one turnover (an interception). The Sooners are now +8 in turnover margin through three games this season.

After the game, head coach Brent Venables met with the media to break down the victory.
