Rare Oklahoma Art Hits The Market As Estate Sales By Allen Begins Today

One of the largest Oklahoma art sales kicks off at Estate Sales by Allen today. From Sept. 25 through Sept. 28, people will be able to view and buy rare Oklahoma art.

There are several thousand pieces of art inside this warehouse with pieces collected by an Oklahoman, Kelly Knowlton, who passed away a few years ago.

Allen Hynes, the man in charge of the estate sale, said Knowlton's family said they want other people to enjoy Oklahoma art.

Hynes said a lot of these pieces are things you just won't find anywhere else. It also allows people who may not live here to take a piece of Oklahoma with them.

"So many people live in Oklahoma, and they move to different states now," Hynes said. "They’re looking for this art, and it’s not readily available in their state, maybe at some of their estate sales and some of their resale shops or things like that. They are going to be able to purchase a piece here and then take it with them and have a piece of Oklahoma with them."

Hynes mentioned this estate sale has something for everybody, whether that be smaller pieces for the new art collector or bigger and more original pieces for a seasoned collector.

The estate sale runs at Estate Sales by Allen near 15th and Sheridan from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day that it's open.
