11 Days of Awesome at the Tulsa State Fair continues this week, bringing back The Nerveless Nocks Jetpack Flying Water Circus.
The 20-minute show features a jetpack attached to a jet ski by a hose. Cyrus Nock operates the jet ski, while Troy Stowe performs daredevil stunts on the jetpack nearly 50 feet above a portable pool.
"We are able to do flips, spins, twists, turns, and also spray the crowd which is a lot of fun," Stowe said.
Nock comes from a long line of performers. "My family has been producing stunt shows since 1840 and this is one of the latest things that we started incorporating into our shows," he said.
The pair draws energy from the crowds.
"We have loud music, we have water going out into the audience, so it is very immersive," said Nock.
Stowe agreed adding, "It is a unique show. We bring something different to the fair that I do not think a lot of people have seen and you are right up in front of it."
The Jetpack Flying Water Circus is at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. every night through Saturday, October 5th and at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 6th.
The show is free with fair admission and is located near the Pavilion between two Ferris wheels.
