A child died Sunday morning in what officers say appears to be an accidental shooting in Sand Springs, according to the Sand Springs Police Department.

Police say the incident happened near the 4800 block of South Grenada.

Police say the child who shot the other child got it from what adults say was a "safe place."

Authorities say another child was taken into custody while on scene.

After interviews with those involved and crime scene analysis, authorities say this appears to be an accidental shooting.

At this time police say no charges are being filed.

Crime scene technicians are still working on the scene to gather evidence.

At this time it is unclear if any adult was home when the shooting happened.

Authorities say this is an isolated incident, and there are no threats at this time.
