Welcome to OU/Texas week for the first time under the SEC banner.
Texas comes in ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time since 1984 after Alabama lost to Vanderbilt on Saturday evening.
OU checks in at No. 17 in the AP Poll which means the Sooners will be looking for their first victory over a Texas team ranked ten places or more higher, since 1982.
One of the biggest questions heading into the game is whether or not Quinn Ewers will return as the starting quarterback for the Longhorns. Steve Sarkisian answered that question during his weekly press conference before this Saturday's Red River Rivalry.
"If we had to play today, sure," Sarkisian said. "I want to see how he responds to extended work, and what that looks like to make sure that he's as healthy as he can be."
"I thought he looked good coming off the bye," Sarkisian continued. "I think if anybody benefited from the time off, it was probably him. We're going to monitor him daily just to kind of see how he continues to progress, but I feel good about how he was. I feel good about him going into Saturday, but that remains to be seen."
You can watch the entire press conference above from earlier Monday on The Longhorn Network.
