After posting the school's best season in 19 years, Tulsa Women's Basketball Coach Angie Nelp was rewarded a contract extension through the 2030 season.

Nelp has posted the second-most wins in school history with a 59-34 record for a .634 winning percentage in three seasons.

The 2023-24 team is coming off a 25-10 campaign, including winning the American Athletic Conference regular season title and appearing in the postseason WBIT.

The Golden Hurricane tied for most conference wins in school history with a 13-5 mark, equaling the 13 wins from 2005-06.

Her first two teams posted 17 wins each year becoming the only coach in school history with a winning record in her first two seasons and the first to reach the 50-win plateau in three seasons. There was only one previous time that Tulsa had compiled three straight winning seasons, 2003-2006.

Coach Nelp has several new transfer players, a nice mixture of returning players, and a good freshman class.
