Tulsa police are searching for the suspect involved in a fatal shooting at the Apache Manor Apartments late Thursday night.

Officers said the incident began with a report of a fight around 9:30 p.m., which soon escalated to gunfire. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man in his 30s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

During the investigation, the Tulsa Police Department's helicopter observed a vehicle moving from the north section of the complex to the middle section.

Officers on the ground located the vehicle and found blood on it, although its connection to the shooting remains unclear.

Captain Matt Arnold of Tulsa Police commented on the potential dangers for residents, saying, “There’s a lot of people who live here and these people deserve to live in a safe environment and as long as we have people out here that are willing to do violence this isn’t a safe environment for them. We have children, families living here and you know it’s our job to come out here and make it as safe as possible.”

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
