'Capable Of Winning The Whole Thing:' OSU Heads To Kansas City For The Big 12 Women's Soccer Championship

The Cowgirls will take on Utah at 11:30 am in the 1st round of the Big 12 Championship on Wednesday.

STILLWATER, Okla. -

The Big 12 Women's Soccer Championship opens on Wednesday in Kansas City. The Oklahoma State Cowgirls finished the regular season with a 13-3-3 record, and earned the No. 5 seed. They will take on 12th-seeded Utah in the tournament's first match at 11:30 am on Wednesday.

The Cowgirls are ranked No.22 in the nation and are 30th in the NCAA RPI. Oklahoma State is looking for its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the Sweet 16 run in 2020.

OSU has outscored its opponents 39-8 this season. The Cowgirls also lead the NCAA with 15 shutouts, including nine straight to open the season.

Head coach Colin Carmichael met with the media on Monday to preview the Big 12 Championship.
