OSU And College Football HOF Will Honor Justin Blackmon During Arizona State Game

Oklahoma State University and the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame have announced that they will honor 2024 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Justin Blackmon with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments®. This special recognition will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, during the Cowboys' home game against Arizona State, set to kick off at 6 p.m.

“Justin Blackmon stands out as one of the most exceptional receivers in college football history, earning unanimous First Team All-American honors twice during his tenure in Stillwater,” said NFF President and CEO Steve Hatchell. “We are excited to celebrate his induction at Boone Pickens Stadium as part of the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class.”

During these On-Campus Salutes, each inductee returns to their alma mater to receive a Hall of Fame plaque that will be permanently displayed at the school. These ceremonies take place on the field during a home game, and many Hall of Famers view it as the pinnacle of their careers, offering one last opportunity to be honored in front of their fans.

Blackmon, who is only the second player ever to win the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver twice—first in 2010 and again in 2011—also received unanimous First Team All-American honors each year and finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2010.

Hailing from Ardmore, Oklahoma, Blackmon is now the sixth player from Oklahoma State to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of Bob Fenimore (1943-46), Terry Miller (1974-77), Leslie O'Neal (1982-85), Thurman Thomas (1984-87), and Barry Sanders (1986-88).

Notable Hall of Fame coaches who have led the Cowboys include Jimmy Johnson and Lynn Waldorf.

The 2024 Hall of Fame class features Justin Blackmon (Oklahoma State), the late Paul Cameron (UCLA), Tim Couch (Kentucky), Warrick Dunn (Florida State), Armanti Edwards (Appalachian State), Deon Figures (Colorado), Larry Fitzgerald (Pittsburgh), Toby Gerhart (Stanford), Dan Hampton (Arkansas), Steve Hutchinson (Michigan), Antonio Langham (Alabama), Randy Moss (Marshall), Julius Peppers (North Carolina), Paul Posluszny (Penn State), Dewey Selmon (Oklahoma), Alex Smith (Utah), Kevin Smith (Texas A&M), Chris Ward (Ohio State), Danny Woodhead (Chadron State [NE]), and coaches Mark Dantonio (Cincinnati, Michigan state), Danny Hale (West Chester [PA], Bloomsburg [PA]), and Frank Solich (Nebraska, Ohio).
