In an effort to support local entrepreneurs, a group in Tulsa is launching the Tulsa Tech Drive - a campaign to collect and distribute refurbished technology to those in need.

Misha Shah and Andy Sajnani from Think Latitude sat down with News On 6 to discuss the initiative.

Empowering Aspiring Entrepreneurs

The Tulsa Tech Drive is being organized by Think Latitude to provide the necessary tools for aspiring entrepreneurs who may not be able to afford them on their own.

"We have a company called Think Latitude, and we help aspiring business owners turn their ideas into successful businesses. So we've been in Chicago and in Nashville, and we've seen success there. So we wanted to bring it to Tulsa," Shah explained.

The Power of Technology Access

Andy Sajnani emphasized the importance of technology access in today's world.

"There's this huge digital divide between people who have access and people who don't have access. So we really want people to contribute and be involved in this technology drive," he said.

He went on to share a personal story, saying, "Growing up, I've seen firsthand how just having access to one computer could make a huge difference in the community and open doors to opportunities."

Donation Options and Security

The Tulsa Tech Drive is accepting a variety of donations and will have multiple drop-off locations with varying hours, which will be updated on the campaign's website.

"Businesses that are wanting to recycle their products, we can actually help with the cleaning and the testing. And when it comes to security, it's really important to format. So our team behind us would definitely help with that," said Shah.

Sajnani noted that those without the technology to donate can still support the initiative through cash donations to the Start to Still Foundation.
