Gun Found In Wagoner Middle School Student's Backpack

Wagoner Public Schools sent out a letter on Thursday saying that a gun was found inside the bag of a student at the middle school.

WPS says the principal received a report that a student may have had a weapon in his backpack. They say the school resource officer escorted the student to the school office, and a gun was found in the student's backpack.

The school says both administration and local law enforcement are addressing the matter.
