Families Step Back In Time On Final Day Of Dinosaur Adventure

It’s easy to get lost in one place at Dinosaur Adventure.

“Oh lord, we’ve been in this same spot for like 30 minutes,” said Myra Patrick. Her nephew couldn’t get enough of the bouncy house.

She says he was excited to take part in all the fun at the Cox Business Convention Center.

“He couldn’t wait to get here,” she said. 

Patrick says he’s also a big fan of the dozens of realistic dinosaurs that come to life with movement and sound.

Joe Aholt says Dinosaur Adventure is an interactive way to learn about these prehistoric creatures.

"You can learn about their diet, when they lived, the parts of the world that they lived in," he said. 

But the dinosaurs are just part of the excitement.

"On the other side, we have our activity side, so you're going to have dinosaur rides, you're going to have bounce houses, we're going to have scooters, fossil digs, mining and panning for gemstones," he said.

He says for young visitors, it's a perfect blend of fun and learning.

“I like to call it 'edu-tainment,'” said Aholt. 

Since there’s so much to do, Patrick says picking her nephew’s favorite part is hard.

“The dinosaurs but then when he saw the bouncy houses, of course, and that he can ride on the dinosaurs,” she said. 

But she knows to add the event to her calendar again.

“We’ll probably come back next year if they have it,” she said.
