The injury news most Thunder fans have been waiting on has finally arrived. Isaiah Hartenstein is close to making his debut for Oklahoma City, after being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Portland at Paycom Center.
The prized free agent signing in the summer for OKC suffered a broken hand during the preseason and has missed the first 15 games of the season.
Hartenstein's status has been in the spotlight since the injury to Chet Holmgren earlier this month.
The Thunder have not had a starter taller than 6-foot-6 over the last several games forcing changes in the lineup.
OKC has gone 3-3 in their past six games, but still have a record of 11-4. The return of Hartenstein will help with rebounding as the Thunder currently sit at 23rd in the league.
Wednesday's game is the second night of a back-to-back after the loss to San Antonio. If the return is not tonight, expect the Thunder to have their new addition in the lineup for games at Sacramento and Golden State next week.
