For the 19th time in 27 years, rivals Union and Jenks met in the playoffs on Friday night, but this is the first quarterfinal matchup.

The Trojans have won 7 of the last 8 postseason meetings, but the Redhawks should have some confidence after winning the Backyard Bowl in September.

It is our Tulsa Tech Game of the Week.

The Jenks Trojans are looking for revenge on the Union Redhawks after suffering a loss in the regular-season Backyard Bowl back in September, where the Trojans only scored a field goal. They’re hoping for better offensive production this time against Union’s tough defense.

This time, it’s being played at Allan Trimble Stadium, home of the Trojans.

First quarter: With under two minutes to go, Owen Jones hands it off to K.D. Jones. He breaks several tackles and finds his way into the end zone for a touchdown. Trojans lead 7-0.

Second quarter: On the next possession for Jenks, Jones makes a quick pass to Kayleb Barnett. Check out the footwork—he makes two guys miss and dives into the end zone from 10 yards out. Trojans lead 14-0.

K.D. Jones gets the ball again and shows off some quick footwork, scoring his second touchdown of the night from 14 yards out.

Second half: Jones puts it out of reach with his fourth touchdown of the night. Jenks wins it 42-7.

The Trojans move on to the semifinals to face Owasso next Friday.
