1 Killed, 1 Critical In Wagoner County Shooting

A shooting near the Oak Grove Fire Department Tuesday evening left one person dead and another critically injured, authorities said.

Wagoner County deputies responded to the scene around 5 p.m. and learned that two individuals had gotten into an argument in the backyard of a house.

Sheriff Chris Elliott says they both reportedly pulled guns and exchanged gunfire.

One person was confirmed dead, and the other was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Creek Nation Lighthorse Police are leading the investigation.

Authorities have not determined which individual is the victim or suspect, and the nature of the argument remains unclear.

The identities of those involved have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
