74-Year-Old Woman Killed In Canadian County Crash Identified

A 74-year-old Oklahoma City woman died in a single-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon near Okarche, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Veronica Higgins was driving westbound on OK-3 when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and drove into a creek, according to OHP.

Authorities said she suffered a medical incident. Higgins was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.

The Center of Family Love shared photos of Sister Higgins, saying residents eagerly awaited her visits each day.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
