OHP: 1 Dead After Accident In Seminole County Tuesday Morning

A 32-year-old Moore man died in a fatal crash Tuesday morning on OK-56, approximately five miles south of Wewoka in Seminole County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Zachary Cook was driving northbound on the shoulder of OK-56 when he attempted to make a U-turn. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side. Cook, the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:18 a.m. on January 7, 2025, near OK-56 and EW 1360 Road in Seminole.

OHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
