A Cleveland County judge is set to hear a lawsuit Wednesday morning over the city of Norman’s use of tax increment financing (TIF) funds.
Norman University’s Town Shopping Center has sued the city, alleging officials have withheld millions of dollars in TIF funds intended for improvements and development in the University Park area near Interstate 35 and Robinson Street.
According to the lawsuit, the shopping center was promised $5 million in 2019 but has yet to receive the funds.
