Two suspects are in custody; one is outstanding, and Edmond schools are no longer under secure status following a robbery in the area, according to police.

Police say they do not believe the outstanding suspect is in the area.

Edmond police say the robbery started as a Facebook marketplace deal.

Several Edmond schools were placed under secure status Wednesday afternoon while police investigated.

The district confirmed that Edmond North High School, Sequoyah Middle School, Northern Hills Elementary, Russell Dougherty Elementary, John Ross Elementary School, and Boulevard Academy were affected by the precautionary measure.

"Secure means all students are inside, all exterior doors are locked and secured, and nobody will be checked in or out of school," Edmond Public Schools said in a statement to families.

No injuries have been reported, and authorities have not released additional details on the suspect or circumstances surrounding the robbery.
