Former Oklahoma lawmaker Ryan Kiesel dies at 45

Former Oklahoma lawmaker and civil rights attorney Ryan Kiesel has died at the age of 45.

Kiesel served three terms in the Oklahoma House of Representatives where he represented parts of central Oklahoma from 2004 to 2010.

Oklahoma City Representative Forrest Bennett posted to X saying he's thankful for the mentorship Kiesel provided saying in part "I didn’t know who he was when I was assigned to his office, but working for him changed my life & earned a lifelong friend. He’s gone far too soon & I, for one, am better for having known him."
