Joann files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, set to close all stores

After nearly a century in business, the popular crafts and fabric store chain Joann will be closing all locations after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company hoped to sell its assets and keep roughly 300 stores open but failed to find a buyer.

The chain is now shutting all of its stores, including locations in Oklahoma City and Norman, after filing for bankruptcy protection a second time.

A Joann spokesperson said in a statement that it "made every possible effort to pursue a more favorable outcome that would keep the company in business."
