1 seriously injured in Midwest City apartment fire

One person was hospitalized after an apartment caught fire Friday morning in Midwest City, according to firefighters.

The Midwest City Fire Department was called to an apartment complex at around 4 a.m. near North Midwest Boulevard and Northeast 10th Street.

After arriving on the scene, firefighters said they were able to locate one person, an adult male, inside the apartment with serious injuries.

That person was taken to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

No names have been released at this time.
