Crews extinguish fire Deer Creek near Waterloo Road and North May Avenue

Edmond Fire Dept. says that a grass fire broke out in Deer Creek on Wednesday.

Authorities say the fire was near North May Avenue and Waterloo Road to the southeast.

Edmond Fire Dept. and Deer Creek Fire Dept. had units on the scene.

Edmond's Fire Dept.'s Public Information Officer reported that the fire had spread to Deer Creek Middle School's ballfield. Deer Creek Middle School's Public Information Officer reports that no students or staff were on property due to Spring Break.

Fire trucks have last been seen departing the scene.
