With a 96-62 win over Iowa on Monday, the No. 3 seed Oklahoma Sooners women's basketball program returns to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2013.

Despite the win over head coach Jennie Baranczyk's alma mater, the Sooner's path ahead does not ease up in the slightest.
Of the remaining 15 teams other than the Sooners still in the tournament, none fall below a No. 5 seed. If OU wins their upcoming matchup against No. 2 seed UConn Huskies, there remains a chance of facing a No. 1 seed in each of the possible remaining tournament matchups.
Even then, the Sooners still have to focus on overcoming the Huskies, who reached the Final Four in 2024 and 2022 and who also hold ten national championship wins since 2000.
The Sooners-Huskies matchup starts at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Of the remaining teams, five are fellow SEC members (Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU, Texas and Tennessee). The others fall into the Big Ten (USC, UCLA and Maryland), ACC (NC State, North Carolina, Duke and Notre Dame), and Big 12 (Kansas State and TCU).
Should the Sooners beat the Huskies and reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 2010, their next opponent would be the winner between No. 1 seed USC and No. 5 seed Kansas State.
That game will be played at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 31.
