Competitors from around the globe will be at Riversport OKC this weekend, as they host a watersports World Ranking Event in several categories.
The second half of the 2025 ICF Spring World Ranking Series Canoe Slalom & Kayak Cross competition will run from March 28-30 here in the Oklahoma City Boathouse District.
The event will be free to attend for anyone wanting to watch Olympic level Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross qualifiers, which mark the first step toward the 2026 World Championships and even the 2028 Olympics—both set to be held right here in OKC.

Riversport founder Mike Knopp is encouraging the community to come out and watch the action.
Spectators will get to see two thrilling events—Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross—both designed for high-energy, and head-to-head competition.
Four time Olympian Casey Eichfeld speaks on the low barrier of entry for the sport itself.
"They have instructors as well as raft guides, so you can come in and start with rafting at a very basic level," he said. "And then you can get a comfort with the white water. Then if you're feeling brave then you can venture into the world of kayaking."
The next generation of watersport Olympians could be here in Oklahoma City.
For more information on the event, go to the Riversport OKC website.
