An increased level of triglycerides can increase your chances of heart attack and stroke, but there are several ways of lowering it and improving your health.
Eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly will always lead to a healthier lifestyle, with weight loss decreasing your level of triglycerides.
Lower your sugar intake, as well as refined carbohydrates. Avoid things like candy, cookies and white bread, and go for options like brown rice and quinoa.
Eating salmon about two to three times a week can also help, which contains high omega-3 fats.
Increase fiber in your diet with beans, lentils, and chickpeas with a side of leafy green vegetables.
Aim for 30 minutes of physical activities most days of the week.
If your triglycerides are at an extremely high level, avoid alcohol altogether.
