1 hospitalized in NW OKC hit-and-run, search for driver underway

One person was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Sunday evening in northwest Oklahoma City, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police said the person was struck at around 11 p.m. near Northweest 16th Street and North Rockwell Avenue.

After being struck, police say the driver involved in the collision drove away, leaving the victim behind.

Officers at the scene said the victim was conscious when they were taken to a hospital, although their condition is unknown.

A search for the driver involved is now ongoing.

No names have been released at this time.
